This workshop will examine different approaches to teaching grammar in the classroom. Participants will have the opportunity to evaluate PPP, task based and eclectic approaches. Consideration will be given to the learning cycle and the incorporation of visible thinking routines into grammar teaching. The workshop will be practical and collaborative.

Antony Atkinson is a teacher trainer and assessor. He is a University of Cambridge Celta Main Course tutor and assessor and a Delta Module 1,2 and 3 trainer, main course tutor and curriculum developer. Antony has extensive experience in developing and delivering customised professional development for teachers. He has worked with English language teachers working in Primary, Middle and Secondary schools from a range of countries including Malaysia, China, Thailand, Hong Kong and Indonesia. Antony has delivered and developed customised teacher development programs for Science and Technology teachers from China and has delivered papers at major international TESOL conferences such as Asia Tefl in Nanjing 2015 and Yogyakarta 2017. Antony is passionate about teacher development and innovation and offers refreshing student centred approaches to classroom teaching.
