This professional learning session is for teachers who are interested in writing and publishing their own easy-to-read story for EAL/D learners.   Karen Slikas Barber, AMEP lecturer and author of the popular Carly and Kumar short stories will describe her writing process and share the qualities that she believes make an easy-to-read story engaging. Karen will also describe how to go about getting a book published and distributed.
