This session will enable participants to support primary and secondary EAL/D students who may have Autism, ADHD, Global Development Delay and those who have difficulties paying attention, staying focused on tasks and need that motivation with their learning.

An overview of evidence-based research into sensory motor, behavioural and social development theories will be discussed as well as exploring effective strategies to support emotional regulation, social relationships, focus, attention, problem solving, learning and motor activities. Hands on activities and strategies will be provided to enable teachers and education assistants to transfer knowledge, skill and strategies back into the classroom.
